What is Holistic Nutrition

Starting to be interested in healthy food and lifestyle mostly comes from a reason. Maybe you have noticed that the food you are eating does not give you the energy you need to deal with your daily life, your family and job.

You might be tired, exhausted, mentally insecure or your body is already dealing with certain health issues. Some of you noticed that consulting a doctor isn’t always the right solution. Treating symptoms but not treating the cause will not get you any further on your path towards health.

Therefore, people are turning to naturopaths and holistic nutritionists to help them design individual health programs which integrate and honor the physical, emotional, environmental, and spiritual aspects of your life.




What is Holistic Nutrition?

According to holistic nutrition it is mandatory to have a closer look to your body, mind, and soul.

Holistic derives from the Greek word hólos and means integrated. Which means we are not only concentrating on the effects of food to our bodies we are also implicating other health pillars. They are essential for a comprehensive and effective health care.

Holistic nutrition teaches you the causal relationship between food and disease, food intolerances, physical and mental imbalances.

In this context I would like to point out that holistic nutrition is not only useful as prevention it will be particularly applied to existing diseases.

We are talking about small problems to begin with such as fatigue, loss in efficiency, upset stomach/gut, back pain. Also, more serious problems such as obesity, high blood pressure, mental disorders and age-related diseases can appear sooner or later.

Nutritionists are realizing that you cannot design the same health plan for everyone. We need to create tailor-made programs for every individual. We are all different, we all live unique lives.
